“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

It’s important for us to become spiritually conscious, a lot of believers live a life of religious routines void of the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. This series will equip you to engage the life you’ve received, you will gain liberty and empowerment to live the life the way you ought to as we look into the word of God.The real secret of the Christian faith, is the birth and development of the spirit man within the believer. It’s not just about seeking things or receiving solutions to demonic problems. Some people got born again because they need deliverance but beyond that there is an added advantage that you have as a child of God. It’s important to be conscious of and live in the reality of this advantage.
Any promise of God that you aren’t conscious of, can never become a reality because you can’t engage it. For example someone can give you a brand new car with all the paper work intact, but without the key to the car, you can’t use it. This can be likened to our walk with God there are some keys that we need that are encapsulated in our knowledge of God.
“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2 Peter 1:3-4 KJV
Access to his divine nature
The power is realized through the knowledge of Christ. When Adam and Eve lost their glory, it was through the canal knowledge of the tree of good and evil. Through the knowledge of Christ you can gain access to the divine power that we have in God. The promises of God gives us access to his divine nature, and the revelation of his word will help you become partakers of his divine nature. Our faith walk is not a secular or religious walk but a life lived in the spirit. The Christian journey is spiritual, and by God’s grace we will engage the provisions of God to activate this life. We are believers in Christ Jesus, we don’t want to take the form of godliness and lack the power in it. This series is about the biblical revelations that will usher us into the reality of these truths.
The New has Come: there is a spiritual adoption that takes place when you accept God’s provision (Christ).
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13 KJV
You become a new creation, you are born of the Spirit . You become like the species that gave birth to you . You are spiritually born! “BORN AGAIN”
“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:6 KJV
A new creation
When you accept God’s provision, you become a brand new man , a different breed of man with a superior Spirit. The old has passed away and the new has come. The new that has come is born into a new kingdom with a way of life that is purely spiritual, You are born of the Spirit and part of God’s family. You have become a spirit man that is operating in the earthly realm. Your real identity is in Christ Jesus.
“He Who comes from above (heaven) is [far] above all [others]; he who comes from the earth belongs to the earth, and talks the language of earth [his words are from an earthly standpoint]. He Who comes from heaven is [far] above all others [far superior to all others in prominence and in excellence].” John 3:31 AMPC
Engaging life as a new creation
There are distinctions between the people who are earthly and heavenly. The people who are earthly engage life from an earthly standpoint and their nature is consistent with the earthly realm. The person from above is above all and doesn’t speak earthly language, your words are not from the earthly realm. Your words are from a heavenly perspective. We can speak spiritual languages because we are born in the spirit. As the natural man can speak human languages so can your spirit man speak spiritual languages. Your spirit man can see, hear, walk and engage with the spiritual.
“But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.” Hebrews 12:22-24 KJV
This citizenship is not earthly by definition or description, we relate with spiritual persons, and we live in a realm that is beyond man’s natural existence. This realm is only accessible to the children of God who have access by the blood of Christ.
“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24 KJV
The only way to engage God is spiritual , you can’t engage God with a worldly perspective. When Jesus spoke about the realities of the kingdom, he wasn’t joking. If you don’t take the time to know and engage these truths you will never walk in it. He said
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32 KJV
You belong to a spiritual kingdom, it is your responsibility to search it out and learn the kingdom way. “And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.”1 John 5:19 KJV
Delivered from the power of Darkness
When the scripture says anyone that is from above is above all ,helps us to understand our placement in Christ. The term above refers to our authority, dominion and the superior life we have received in Christ. The natural world is under the influence of the devil, the enemy will only submit to those who understand the world they belong to. If you don’t engage spiritually, you will fall like mere men. Satan has the government of the earthly realm but he submits to a kingdom that is superior to his, which is the kingdom of God. Since we belong to this kingdom, we are far above sickness, disease, poverty, shame, etc.
These are spiritual truths that your spirit man can relate with. If a born again Christian is under the oppression of the devil, it is spiritually illegal. When a believer lacks adequate spiritual truths, they become victims of satanic oppression.
“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:”— Colossians 1:12-13 KJV
We belong to the kingdom of his dear son, because he has delivered us from the dominion of darkness. You are not of this world, because you belong to the kingdom of God, the city of the living God.
“Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” Ephesians 2:5-6 KJV
The devil is happy and satisfied if you are born again but lack revelation of the provisions you have in Christ. Some believers live in bondage because they don’t know they’ve been raised with Christ. We have the advantage of participating in the spirit realms. We are so used to the works of the devil that we aren’t even aware of the works of God so consequently we yield and accept the negativity around us. The devil and the world does not rule over you because you belong to the kingdom of God and our King Jesus Christ, who is seated at the right hand of the father. He has made us unto our God kings and priests and we shall reign on earth.
“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1 John 4:4 KJV
The damage that Christ did to the kingdom of darkness is eternal and Satan can never recover from it. His head has been bruised and we are not under his dominion or government.
“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:15 KJV
In the spiritual realm we are defined by our citizenship in the kingdom of God. Remember when Jesus was on the earth, he always spoke about not being from the earth and he would relate with God as his father which angered the religious people of his time. In this present age the reality of God being our father angers a lot of people who can’t relate nor understand, because the revelation comes by the Holy Spirit.
The Spirit made alive to God
Only the spirit that has come alive to God can relate with this truth. We are born again and greater is he that is us than in the world. Those who are from God are not under the oppression of this world. The truth takes you away from the class of ordinary being because you are a new creation in Christ . Spiritually we are alive to God. We are in Christ, no longer subject to Satan but empowered to live the God life. The reason God places man on earth was for the purpose of extending the kingdom of heaven on earth. When you read Genesis 1 & 2 you will see that God created man in his likeness and image but man lost it. However God had a plan to restore man by the death and resurrection of Christ .
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” Romans 5:12 KJV
“Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.” Romans 5:14 KJV
“For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)” Romans 5:17 KJV
Life came through Christ Jesus, every provision is found in Christ. The wall of separation between us and God has been removed by the atoning sacrifice of Christ. If a believer starts walking in this truth, the devil is in trouble. By Gods grace this truth will elevate your understanding and make you a problem to the devil.
“But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” 1 Corinthians 6:17 KJV
When you get this consciousness you will start manifesting the reality of it.
“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:”1 Peter 2:9 KJV
He called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. We are no more partakers of darkness. There is no part in the scripture that describes us as inferior or objects of ridicule to the devil. He has made us kings and priests unto our God and we shall reign on earth. The word “generation” derives from the root-word “gene.” Gene is the basic biological unit of heredity/Genes hold the information to build and maintain an organism’s cells and pass genetic traits (DNA) from parent to offspring. They determine the physical, mental and other characteristics an individual inherits from his parents. The writer of the book of Peter is trying to describe that we’ve received the component of God that conducts his ability through us. It determines our mental engagement and way of life.
Consistency in conforming to the nature of God
As we embrace these truths we will become consistent with the nature of God. We’ve become spirit children of God, not just mere men but God filled men. We are infused with the nature and life of God. This is what we’ve become in God, an extensions of his divine life on earth. The word of God describes you as a chosen generation, he has made us unto our God kings and priests and we shall rule on earth. Begin to look at yourself in light of the revelation of scripture.
Through the series we will look at the ways we engage this life in Christ.
“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Romans 8:37 KJV
Grace has been poured out abundantly, training and equipping us to express different dimensions of the new life in God, as a result the aura of divinity has taken over us. Most importantly we are a spiritual race far from the oppressions of the devil.
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38 KJV
We live our lives following the example of Christ, he lived this life in the spirit. Being born again is the beginning of engaging the life we have in God. If a good seed in planted in the wrong ground it will not yield properly. Firstly we prepare the ground by conforming to the word of God, then secondly the atmosphere around the seed should be scrutinized.
“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?”1 John 5:4-5 KJV
The devil knows that there are some people walking in the grace of exemption and he hates it. The people who follow the religion of the bond woman argue against the virgin birth of Christ, these truths are only revealed and understood by the Holy Spirit. It’s the Holy Spirit that opens us up into these new realities.
“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. ”John 3:6 KJV
Since we are born in the spirit, we can see in the spirit , walk in the spirit, speak in the spirit , hear in the spirit and live in the spirit. We will start engaging and understanding these realities and live in them.
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2 KJV
“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” Isaiah 60:1 KJV
If you live without turning on your light, you will suffer the same consequences as people who live in darkness. By the grace of God he will grant us understanding and the entrance of his word will bring light and you will walk out of the devil.
In conclusion, as we engage this series may your heart be receptive to this revelation, don’t just engage it as new information but a truth to be lived. Although this is a teaching series , there will be a lot of deliverances, yokes will break , burdens will give way and you will experience true liberty in him. If any man is in Christ he is a new creation!
